SAMUEL A. COUCH BURIED FRIDAY - Samuel A. Couch, 88, passed away Tuesday,
Sept. 7th at his Pauls Valley home. Funeral services for the long time
Garvin county resident were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Stufflebean's
Funeral chapel and burial was in the Antioch cemetery. J.D. Bryant, pastor
of the Lindsey Church of Christ, officiated.
Couch was born Nov. 14, 1865 in South Carolina. He resided in the Love
community before moving to Pauls Valley.
Survivors are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Odie Williams, Pauls Valley;
three sons, Clarence, Pauls Valley; and Joe and Ray of Plainview, Texas;
nine grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. (Samuel A. Couch
married Sarah Mattie Johnson, daughter of James Perry Johnson and Sarah
Womack Blanton. Sarah Womack Blanton was the daughter of Stephen Fletcher Blanton and Sarah McDaniel.)
