My g-grandfather brought his family from Chattooga County GA in the late 1890's to settle in Gunter.
He and my g-grandmother are buried now at Tioga Cemetery: J. L. (Jeremiah Levi) Davis and Mrs. L. M. (Lettie Matilda nee Johnson) Davis.
 
I don't have the church records, but believe they belonged to the Tioga Primitive Baptist Church.  It is possible that this family were members there too.
