Elisha Morris Ford

From Troy Graham <Troy@Redriverok.com>
Elisha Morris Ford, a former Denton resident, died at 11:30 p.m. Thursday in
his home in Ft. Worth. He was 73. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m.
Saturday in Jack Schmitz & Son Funeral Chapel in Sadler. A member of
Highland Baptist Church, he was a retired machinest. He was born in
Knoxville, Tenn, May 27, 1890. Survivors include his widow, the former Mrs.
Bessie Tharp; a sister, Mrs. Mae Haddock of Houston; two half-brothers, J.E.
Bowling and C.E. Bowling of Denton and a half-sister, Mrs. Zela Pearl Woods
of Dallas."

This was my grandmother, Mae Ford's brother. I surely wish I could find an
obit for his wife, Bessie Tharp Ford, who died 14 March 1988 and is also
buried at Sadler. Bessie and her parents lived in Sadler, Grayson Co. for many
years, but I can't find a record of their deaths. We "believe" them to be
Richard and Mary E. Tharp. Mary may have been a Payne before they married.
Some of them are buried at Sadler also.
