Guy Hosford

Denison-Graveside services for Guy L. Hosford, 76-year-old retired Katy railroad employee who died Saturday at a Denison hospital, will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Fairview Cemetery. Leroy Sedgwick of the Armstrong Avenue Church of Christ will officiate, with arrangements by Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.

Mr. Hosford was born in Pottsboro, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Edward Hosford, and attended Denison schools. He was married to Rex Scoggin on June 1, 1925 in Dallas and was former assistant to the chief mechanical officer at the Katy railroad before his retirement. He was a member of the Armstrong Avenue Church of Christ, American Association of Retired Persons and the Association of Retired Railroad Men.

Surviving are his wife, of Denison; son, Jerry N. Hosford of Austin; daughter, Mrs. D.A. Tramell of Arlington; brothers, Raymond Hosford of Mt. Pleasant and Eugene Hosford of Austin; sisters, Mrs. Frank Beckleman and Mrs. Ralph Sharpe, both of Denison; Mrs. Sidney Tipton of Fort Worth and Mrs. G.W. Veazey of Houston; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Memorials may be made to the Denison Public Library or the Armstrong Avenue Church of Christ.
Pallbearers are L.I. Nearmyer, Bob Hill, Gene Stringer, Bill Schwetke, Austin Mitchell, Otis Williams, Paul Neidert and Raymond Cullar.

The family will be at 612 W. Hanna.

He was a retired Katy employee, member of the Armstrong Avenue Church of Christ, American Association of Retired Persons and the Association of Retired Railroad Men.

Veazey, Houston; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The family will be at the home, 612 W. Hanna.
