Howe is a beautiful place and needs it story told!
First settlement in this area was Northeast of the present town and called Summit. It was named that because it was the highest elevation between the Gulf of Mexico and the Red River.

Howe Families;


The railroad depot in Howe, pictured here in 1917, was equipped with telephone,
telegraph and typewriter, making it an up-to-date facility, capable of communicating
messages by rail or wire.  The railroad is credited for the founding of Howe.
