JETER, HENRIETTA
Mrs. Bertha Irene Jeter,
79, of Henrietta, died Monday in a Henrietta
hospital.
Services will be 2 p.m.
Wednesday with the Rev. Jim McCurley, pastor of
Westside Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Crestview
Cemetery under the direction of Owens &
Brumley Funeral Home. Mrs.
Jeter moved to Henrietta four months ago after
residing in Wichita Falls 36 years.
She was born Sept. 9, 1899, in Grayson
County, Texas. Mrs. Jeter was
a long-time member of Westside Baptist
Church.
Survivors include three
sons James H. Jeter of Henrietta, Virgil Lane
Jeter of Richardson, Texas, and Leonard
Jeter of Hurst, Texas; a sister,
Mrs. Fess Whitfill of Snyder, Texas;
a brother, Reuben Feagans of Decatur,
Texas; seven grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren. (research note -
Bertha Irene Jeter was the daughter
of Preston Lane Feagans and Laura Emily
Binion. She was the granddaughter
of Daniel Feagans, CSA vet, and Mary Ann
Blanton and of Reubin T. Binion and
Huldah A. Herrin. Her great
grandparents were Fannin Co., TX pioneers
Stephen Fletcher Blanton, CSA Vet,
and Sarah McDaniel and Grayson Co.,
TX pioneers Jackson Feagans and Annie
Liles aka Annie Lyles).

Henrietta - James Harrell
Jeter, 76, of Henrietta died Thursday, Jan. 16,
2003, in Henrietta.
No services are scheduled.
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis
Funeral Home.
Mr. Jeter owned and operated
a nationwide moving and storage business.
Survivors include his
wife, Dorothy (Lancaster) of Henrietta; a daughter,
Kathy Carrabba of Burleson, Texas;
a son, Hank of Arlington, Texas; two
brothers, Leonard of Tom Ball, Texas,
and Virgil of Fort Worth; and three
grandchildren.
Memorials may be made
to the Alzheimer's Association, 801 Burnett St.,
Wichita Falls, TX 76301. (research
note - James Harrell Jeter was the son
of James Henry "Jim" Jeter and Bertha
Irene Feagans. Harrell was the
grandson of Preston Feagans and Laura
Emily Binion and he was the g-grandson of Daniel Feagans, CSA vet, and
Mary Ann Blanton and the gg-grandson of pioneering families of Jackson
Feagans and Ann Liles aka Ann Lyles and of Stephen Fletcher Blanton and
Sarah McDaniel.).
