Mozelle M. King
"Perky"
Mozelle "Perky" M. King, 84, died at
Baylor All Saints Hospital in Fort Worth on Oct. 30, 2007.
Services will be held at Dannel Funeral
Home on Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 2:00PM Rev. Neill Morgan of Covenant
Presbyterian Church will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum
at West Hill Cemetery. Mozelle Marie Perkins was born February 11, 1923,
in Dallas, Texas, to Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie H. Perkins. She took the nickname
of "Perky," insisting that it matched her personality.
Perky married John Neathery King on
Sept. 28, 1956, in
Durant, OK. They had one daughter,
Shari. She enjoyed working with her husband in the real estate business,
and she shared his passion for
antique automobiles. She was also interested
in photography and enjoyed writing. Mr. King passed away in August 2000.
In 1980 Perky completed a BA degree
at Austin College, and she took advantage of opportunities to study in
London during the January Term. Even when her health declined, Perky enjoyed
traveling. She wanted to be remembered as "Perky who loved life." She was
grateful to Sam and her extended family for the loving care they provided
in her last years. Thanks to Vitas Innovative Hospice Care for their kindness
during her final illness.
Preceded in death by her parents and
her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Shari Lowenstein.
If desired memorials may be made to
your local Hospice.
