This item belongs to Melba (Neathery) Johnson who was born and raised in the Pilot Grove area many years ago.  The recipe was mailed in Dec 1929 by Patsy (Portman) Neathery b. 5 May 1906 d/o John Richard Portman and Grace (Old) Portman and was written on the back of an envelope from the Hon. Sam Rayburn's office.  Notice it says SPEECH OF HON. SAM RAYBURN of Texas.......maybe he sent copies of his speeches out to constituents?

3 ounces sassafras oil
1 block camphor gum

Melt lard & camphor gum together and mix other ingredients
