Child Fatally Burned

Special to  The News - Sherman, Tex., Sep 27- At noon today the residence of Tom Thompson of Ida, nine miles east of Sherman, burned. The little 4-year-old daughter, mary, was burned so badly that the physicans say she cannot possibly live. The fire originated, it is believed, when the child struck a match and set some powder on fire, which she found in one of the rooms. The blaze burned both of her eyes out, and she was badly burned about the body. The mother, hearing her screams ran in and carried her from the building.
