     VAN ALSTYNE - - William Riley Crook died Monday night at his home morth of Van Alstyne after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held today, 5 pm at the Van Alstyne Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. J. H. Vail of Whitesboro, assisted by the pastor, Rev. Simpson.
   Burial will be in the Van Alstyne cemetery, directed by Fox-Fanning Funeral Home.
   Pallbearers will be Oran Sterling, Clyde Massie, Sam Gray, Bill ONeal, Jim Kemp, and Doyle Martin.
   Mr. Crook was born in Liberty, Tenn. April 8, 1869. He was married Sept 2, 1894 to Miss Sarah Emaline Cipher.
   He is survived by the following children: Mrs. Burrell Howell, Mrs. Clyde Cripps, Wesley Crook and Leslie Crook of Van Alstyne. Mrs. W. A. Goode, Gunter, Mrs. J. L. Olds, Weatherford, W. T. Crook, Beamount, Talmadge Crook, Houston and Mrs. Guss Sims, Daisetta; 28 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
   He is also survived by five sister, Mrs. Sarah Vandergriff and Mrs. Neal Parker of Van Alstyne; Mrs. Polly Hawker, Liberty, Tenn. Mrs. Lester Farmer, Rdland, Calif., and Mrs. Francis Bowman, Mansfield and one brother, Bob Crook, Kington, Okla.
