Dawson Funeral Held on Monday Funeral services were conducted last Monday afternoon for Elmer Elsworth Dawson, who died in Bethany on Oct. 11. Mr. Dawson was born in Decatur, Ill. on Oct. 26, 1868. He lived in Kingston until recently when he moved to Bethany.
In Kingston he operated a general merchandise store and worked at carpertering. . His wife Mrs. Susie Gertrude Dawson, preceded him in death on Oct. 26, 1945.
Survivors include: two sons, R. M. Dawson and S. P. Dawson, both of Bethany; ten grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; two brothers, James Dawson, Port Arthur, Texas, and Joe Dawson, Anadarko; ond one sister, Mrs. Ed Gilham, Cordell.
Services were under the direction of Rev. E. G. Theus, Bethany, and were held in the Kingston Nazarene Church. Graveside service were conducted by the Watts Funeral Home and burial was at the Kingston cemetery.
Casket escorts were; Gene Flynt, Doc Landram, Sid Willis, Rat Buck, Bob Hawkins, and Homer Wilkins.
