ABE GREEN - Howe - Abe Green 54, of Howe, a carpenter and contractor,
died 6:40 a.m. in Sherman hospital, after an illness of five months.  // Funeral
services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Barrett Funeral chapel, Sherman.
The Rev. Roy Cloud, pastor of the Howe Baptist Church, and the Rev. C. J.
Graves, pastor of Friendship Methodist Church, will conduct the services.
Burial will be in Cedarlawn Memorial Park.  // Mr. Green was born Feb. 14,
1908 in Howe, the son of Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Green.  On May 21, 1927, he
married Miss Myra Keller in Van Alstyne.  He was a member of the Baptist
church.  He served with the Seabees during World War II.  Before that time
he had operated a restaurant in Howe.  After returning from the service, he
went into the grocer business.  In 1963 he went into the contracting
business.  // The body will be at the home in Howe from 1 p.m. Wednesday
until 11:00 am. Thursday.  // Survivors are his wife, a brother, George
green of Sherman, and a number of nieces and nephews. (The widow, Myra
Hedrick was the daughter of William Harvey Keller and Myra Clark Hart.)
