  Mark McKinney, 77, died Monday, Dec. 2, 2002, at a Denison
  Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Tom
Bean. The Rev. Tom Campbell and the Rev. Mike Courtney will officiate.
Burial: Vittitoe Cemetery in Grayson County. Family night: 7 to 8 p.m.
Wednesday at Earnhart Funeral Home, Whitewright.
  Pallbearers: Ron Hamilton, Pat Hamilton, Ricky Hamilton,
Bill Hamilton, Charlie Huddleston, Calvin Bruce, Leland Hale and Wilfred
  Memorials: Texas Scottish Rite Hospital.
  Mr. McKinney was born Nov. 30, 1925, in Savoy to Samuel
Porter McKinney and Ollie Blakey McKinney. He married Alma Jean Neal on May 11, 1946, in Savoy. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was wounded in action during the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium. He received the Purple Heart and a Bronze Service Star. Mr. McKinney retired from the civil service where he worked as supervisory contract construction inspector in
civil engineering. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the
Whitewright Masonic Lodge 167. He served in World War II in the Army. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Tom Bean.
  Survivors: Wife, Alma Jean McKinney of Sherman; sons, Mark
S. McKinney of Pittsburg, Gary D. McKinney of Saginaw and Donald K. McKinney of Wichita Falls; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
