Long ? Sherman, Tex., Feb. 4 ? Mrs. George Long, 51 years of
age, died here. Burial was in West Hill Cemetery, services
being conducted by Rev. George F. Bradford. Besides her
husband, Mrs. Long is survived by the following daughters
and son: Mrs. J. T. Rigg of Tioga, Mrs. Lula Nichols and
Miss Mary and Robert Long of Sherman.

Spearman ? Collinsville, Tex., Jan. 2 ? L. M. Spearman, an
old and respected citizen of Collinsville, Tex., died at
Whitewright, Dec. 30, 1911. He was born in Tennessee and
came to Texas in 1852, settling in Grayson County, where he
lived a number of years. He was married in 1858. He went
into the Confederate Army and remained during the entire war
and made a good record as a soldier. He went to Cooke
County, Texas, where he lived until 1897, when he removed to
Collinsville, Tex., where he had been ever since. He reared
a family of eight children.

KILMER ? Sherman, Tex., March 18 ? At his home, five miles
south of Sherman, today J. Kilmer, aged 87 years, died.

McHale ? Denison, Tex., Jan. 8 ? John McHale, aged 75 years,
died at the family residence, after a short illness of
pneumonia. He had been a resident of Denison for more than
ten years and was well and favorably known to many. Funeral
services were conducted today with burial in Fairview
Cemetery.

McElwee ? Denison, Tex., Jan. 8 ? Robert McElwee, aged 38
years, died here after an illness of one week. The body was
shipped to Honey Grove for burial. A widow and three small
children survive.

CREASON ? Denison, Tex., Jan. 8 ? Mrs. Ida Creason, aged 35
years, died late Saturday evening at her home on North
Armstrong avenue and was buried Sunday afternoon. Deceased
is survived by two children.

Jinks ? Denison, Tex., Jan. 8 ? The body of C. C. Jinks, who
was electrocuted Friday, was shipped to Birmingham, Ala.,
for burial. Brief funeral services were conducted by Rev. T.
J. Oliver Curran, rector of St. Luke?s Episcopal Church, in
the afternoon.

Newman ? Denison, Tex., Jan. 8 ? Mrs. Ellen Newman died
Sunday morning at the home of her sister, Mrs. John Cambell,
at 1501 Bond street, following a lingering illness. Funeral
services were conducted this afternoon by Rev. George W.
Lee, with interment in Kaufman Cemetery. Deceased was 52
years of age.

Dial ? Sherman, Tex., Jan. 8 ? Mrs. Amanda F. Dial died Jan.
5, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. P. D. Hollingsworth,
206 West Mulberry street. Mrs. Dial was born in Alabama, but
moved with her parents to Mississippi when quite young, and
later to Louisiana, where she was married, and came to
Marshall, Tex., as a bride in 1847. Thus she was one of the
pioneer settlers of the State.

Reeder ? Sherman, Tex., Jan. 8 ? Mrs. John Reeder, about 50
years of age, died at the family residence, after a
protracted illness. She is survived by her husband and the
following daughters: Mrs. Lester Logan, Mrs. Bert Fletcher
and Misses Virgil and Ruth Reeder, all of Sherman. Burial
was made in West Hill Cemetery, following services at the
residence, conducted by Rev. Forrest Smith, pastor of the
First Baptist Church.

Hightower ? Forreston, Tex., Jan. 9 ? C. D. Hightower, a
locomotive engineer residing in Denison, died at the home of
his brother one mile east of this place. A number of fellow-
employes came down from Denison for the funeral.
