JIMMY ROBINSON - Services for Jimmy George Robinson, 55-year-old
truck driver of Paris who died Friday, Dec. 17, in Little Rock, AR, were
held Dec. 20 in Cooper-Sorells Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Allen Snyder
and Rev. O.R. Carry officiated and burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Robinson was born in Bonham, the son of Felix and
Hazel (nee Hill)
Robinson, and married Shelia Stephens on June 13, 1950, in Whitewright.
He
was a Baptist and an Air Force veteran, having served in Japan.
Surviving are his wife; sons, George Robinson of Ector
and Jeff Phillips
of Dallas; stepmother, Catherine (nee Draham) Robinson of Benton,
AR;
brother, Jack Robinson of Ector, (half) sister, Peggy Fullerton
of Benton,
AR; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Mike Chavez, Sam Kelly, Ray Calvin,
Brent Langsdrof,
Robert Holmes and Jerry Fullerton. (Jimmy Robinson was the
grandson of
James T. Robinson and Hettie Pace; and the great-grandson of Temperance
Blanton and Major Lee Robinson. Jimmy's gg-grandparents were
Fannin County pioneers, Josiah Blanton and Lucy Westbrook.
