   Egypt School
Egypt School was located one mile south of the Red River and four miles north of Cedar Mills.  The land for the school was donated by C. Lambart; it was established in 1914 with 35 pupils attending.

Trustees were W.H. Laecil, Joe Meeks and A.L. Pitts.

Grades one through eight attended the one-room, frame building with one teacher.  Patrons of the community provided labor for building the school house.

Egypt School served the community 1914 - 1918, when it was consolidated with Cedar Mills School.  A new two-room frame building was built midway between the two schools, again for grades one through eight.

This school, combined of Egypt and Cedar Mills, consolidated with Gordonville School in 1942 when many families in the community sold their homes and moved elsewhere because of the creation of Lake Texoma.
