Smith-Smith
A quiet wedding was solemnized at the home of Mrs.
Eliza Stinson Tuesday evening at 9 o'clock on College Street when Mrs.
T. J. Smith, widow of the late T. J. Smith, of Artesia, Mississippi, and
Mr. R. E. Smith, of Sherman, Texas, were united in marriage. . Rev. W.
A. Hewett performed the ceremony. Mrs. Smith is a cultured and refined
woman, while Mr. Smith is one of the most prominent men of the Lone Star
State, and is known as the Alfalfa King. Mr. Smith met his sister-in-law
when he was in Columbus attending the trial of his brother, C. R. Smith
[he murdered Eugene A. Laurent] and their meeting terminated in love
and marriage. After visiting with relatives in this city they will leave
for their home in Texas.

been married 3 times. Georgia, his wife has been married 2 times.
The 1910 Grayson County, Texas census shows he is an
attorney at law.
On the 1920 Census in Precinct 2, Concho County, Texas,
He had a nanny, governess...Dorothy Sheridan, age 25, from Wyoming, living
with them.
