     CHARLES F.WALD

Entered service at Sherman, Grayson Co., TX  about 7 Jun 1863.
32 Texas Cavalry, Co.A, C.S.A. , Col. Fitzhugh, commanding.
Under Capt. John Randolph,  Lieutenant Thomas Hobson, and Lieutenant Jim Fish.

"Was sent out with scouting parties in Texas and Indian Territory, about Forth Worth and Gainesville, TX. "

 Research notes:
I don't have his term of service, but the Wald's were Missouri residents who moved to Texas before the War.  In his application he says that he served more than a year before he developed chronic asthma and was "incapacitated for further service." Three of their children were born in Sherman or Denison, TX. in 1858, 1861, and 1862. The next child was born in 1866 in MO. He was granted a pension because of infirmities in 1913.

His wife was Mary Elizabeth King. They married 8 Mar 1855 and were together 60 years. Charles died 3 Oct 1915 and his wife the following year in Danville, Montgomery County, MO. Charles is my 2- gts.grandfather.
