Doyle Ellis Stubblefield

Graveside services for Doyle Ellis Stubblefield, who died Wednesday, November 20, 2002, at the Bonham VA, will be held Saturday, November 23, 2002 at 10 a.m. in West Hill Cemetery.
Chaplain Casey Ingold will officiate.
Mr. Stubblefield was born May 13, 1922 in Gunter, Texas, the son of Frank Stubblefield and Ellie Cripps Stubblefield.
Mr. Stubblefield graduated from Gunter schools and entered the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and served from October 5, 1942 through June 26, 1946.  He married Peggy on February 14, 1943 in Pampa, Texas.  She preceded him in death on June 26, 1976.
Mr. Stubblefield worked in the hotel business until his retirement.  After retirement he resided in Sherman.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brother, Haskell Stubblefield; and sisters, Jessie Penner and Bess Mooty.
She is survived by nephews, Dwain Griffith of Lewisville, Texas, Benny Stubblefield of Houston, Texas and Scotty Stubblefield of Lewisville, Texas.
The family will receive friends at Dannel Funeral Home, Friday evening from 7 to 8 p.m.
