Loucious Harris Howell Dies; Funeral Tuesday
Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in Barrett Funeral
Chapel for Loucious Harris Howell, 82, of 2223 N. Travis who died Sunday
at 8:30 p.m. in a Sherman hospital after an illness of five months.
Rev. Hargrove Grounds, minister of Key Memorial Methodist Church,
will officiate. Pallbearers will be Edsell Cary, Hoyt Brannum, Dewey Brannum,
Jess Cary and Ted Helcox. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Howell was born in Alvin, Ill., a son of the late Jasper and
Elizabeth Howell. He was a farmer and had lived in Grayson County 71 years.
He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors are four sons, F. M. Howell of Corpus Christi, L. T. Howell
of Dumas. P. W. Howell of Caddo. Okla,. and Raymond Howell of Princeton;
seven daughters, Mrs. W. A. Keasler of Portland, Ore., Mrs. C. D. West
of Fresno, Calif., Mrs. W. E. Claiborne of Fresno, Calif., Mrs. Allen Fairbanks
of Manteca, Calif., Mrs. H. C. Fulsom of Blanchard, Okla., Mrs. W. B. Perkins,
and Mrs. T. O. Hethcox, both of Sherman; one brother, Elmer Douglas Howell
of Memphis, Tenn., ; two sisters, Susan Fogle of Sherman and Mrs. Mandy
Nella Lonney of Weatherford; 32 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and
three great-great-grandchildren.
