The Society's objectives are to promote the study of family research, to collect and preserve biographical data and records of the people of the community and their ancestors, to build and maintain a genealogical library and to offer programs of genealogical interest to its members and to the general public. The Genealogical Society maintains its collection of research material in the Genealogical and Historical Research room at the Boerne Public Library. The collection consists of books, CD'S, microfiche, microfilm, journals from other genealogical societies and various means for researching census records. The materials are available for research during regular library hours. |
Membership dues are payable by January 1 of each year. They are as
follows:
$25.00 Individual;
$35.00 Couple;
$ 15.00 Student;
In addition
to annual membership fee: Additional Contributions:
Contributor $1.00 -
$25.00;
Donor - $25.00 - $50.00;
Sponsor - $50.00- $100.00
Patron - $100 or more
Societies and
institutions are eligible for non-voting membership upon payment of dues.
Membership year shall be from January first through December thirty-first each
calendar year.
Anyone who joins during the first three quarters of the year will
receive the journal "KEYS TO THE PAST" covering the entire year.
Anyone
who joins during the last quarter (September 1) will have dues applied to the
following year. They will not receive journals covering the entire past
year.
KEYS TO THE PAST, the Society's journal, is published in May
and November of each year beginning in 1999.
