The records and books in this Room
are gathered and maintained by the following organizations:
BOERNE HISTORICAL
PRESERVATION SOCIETY maintains the the vertical file clippings of
people, places and events. These clippings are filed in two sections of
files.
- One section, known as the Vertical
Files, contains information about buildings, clubs, schools,
businesses and other subjects of general interest.
- The second section, known as Family
Files, contains clippings, photos, genealogy charts, obituaries,
and sometimes, biographies of local people and their families.

- GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY OF
KENDALL COUNTY
maintains a collection of books, periodicals, CDs,
microfilm and microfiche for the use of genealogy researchers.
- The Boerne Public Library furnishes two computers with internet
connections.
- Census Online at "Heritage Quest" made available by the Boerne
Public Library through the Texas State Library.
- Donations from GSKC have also made it possible for the Library to
subscribe to "Ancestry.com."

- BOERNE CEMETERY
FOUNDATION
maintains records of burials in the Boerne Cemetery.
Burials are recorded on a map of the cemetery. The Map,
supplied by the City of Boerne for the purpose of locating graves.
Records are updated monthly by the Boerne Cemetery Foundation as
reported to them by the Local Funeral
