GENEALOGY COURSES AND WORKSHOPS

The Genealogical Society of Kendall County (GSKC) is joining with the Patrick Heath Public Library (PHPL) for Family History Month with their 2nd Annual Symposium on Friday and Saturday Oct. 24 and 25 from 10:30 to 2:30 pm. GSKC and PHPL speakers will present subjects for beginners as well as advanced researchers. Topics include "Looking for Military Ancestors", "Finding that Female Line" and "Colonial Research". Sharon Wolff is the coordinator for the event and will also be speaking. An attendee from last year’s event said she had attended many classes before, but the symposium was the best she had been to. The Symposium will be in PHPL meeting room. Bring a lunch and join this fun group to learn more about researching your ancestors, all for FREE! To reserve a space for one or both days and for more information, please contact the Family History Place at 114 E. Blanco or phone (830) 331-8730.
