SHADRACK BARNES SOCIETY
CHILDREN OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION

In
June of 1970, with the guidance of the Guadalupe Victoria Chapter, TSDAR, the Shadrack Barnes Society, Children of the American
Revolution held its organizing ceremony in Victoria. Beginning with twenty-six members, the Society closed its
Charter in June of 1971, with eighty-one members. One of its members, Miss Charla Borchers, served as State President in 1975-1976, and as National
President of the National Society Children of the American Revolution in
1979-80.
The Shadrack Barnes Society is open to all qualified descendants, male and
female, of Revolutionary Patriots, from birth through the age of 21. The Senior President is
Mrs.
Pat Boothe, of Guadalupe Victoria Chapter. The Sons of the American Revolution, Victoria Chapter
Number 50, co-sponsors this group with Guadalupe Victoria Chapter.
