Victoria County was originated in 1836 from the Old Mexican Municipality.
We are proud to have had all Six Flags of Texas flown over our county. We invite you to make an online visit of our
city via the links below, to our county, and our history, which is yet being unveiled.
Visit
the Museum of the Coastal Bend in Victoria to learn about the early
history of Victoria. Some of the LaSalle Odyssey story and artifacts are
located here. See the cannons from the ship, The Belle, along with
other artifacts from Matagorda Bay, where it was salvaged.
