County of Hays

I Aaron English being of sound mind and memory do make publish and declare this my last will.

The State of Texas                                           For the Estate of
County of Hays                                     Aaron English Deceased

To the honorable County Court in and for Said County and State.

          Your petitioner Sarah A. English shows to the Court that she resides in said County of Hays and state of Texas. That on the 15th day of April AD 1890 said Aaron English who at and before his death had his domicile in the County of Hays aforesaid died in the said County of Hays. That at the time of his death the said Aaron English was seized and possessed of real and personal property of the probable value of $1700 Seventeen Hundred Dollars and left a written will duly executed and herewith filed in which your petitioner was appointed executor. That your petitioner is not disqualified from accepting letters testamentary.

          Wherefore your petitioner prays that citation be issued to all parties interested in said estate as required by law, that said will be admitted to probate, that letters testamentary be issued to your petitioner and that such other and further orders be made as to the Court may deem proper.

Last Will of Aaron English

The State of Texas
County of Hays

          I Aaron English of Hays County Texas being of sound mind and memory do make publish and declare this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time herebefore made. And as to my worldly estate and all the property real and personal or mixed of which I shall die seized and possessed or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease bequeath and dispose thereof in the manner following to wit. My will is that all my just debts and my estate as soon after my decease as by them found convenient. I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Sarah A English all my household furniture my horses and cattle with all my wagons harness and farming tools of whatever kind to have and to hold the same to her own use her lifetime. I also give to her all the land and improvements and income and its appurtenances situated in Hays County Texas said land known as the Ferguson preemption of one hundred and sixty acres deeded to me by Juba Webb and being the same on which I now reside and own in my own right to have and to hold the same to her for and during the term of her natural life to use and live on and after her death to be equally divided between my children without any partiality whatever between them. And lastly I do nominate and appoint my said wife Sarah A. English to be my executor of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I hereunto Aaron English set my hand to this my last will and testament consisting of one sheet of paper written on both sides and affixed my seal this March 15 1890 March fifteenth eighteen hundred and ninety.

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Aaron English as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who at this request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses therewith.

Bond of Mrs. Sarah A. English

Know all men by these presents that we Sarah English as principal and J.G. Egger and L.G.Bailey as Sureties are heed and firmly bound unto Ed R. Kone County Judge of the County of Hays and his successors which will and truly to be made unto the said county judge. We bind ourselves our heirs our executors and administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents. Signed with our hand the 16th day of August AD 1890. The condition of this obligation is such that whereas the above bounden Sarah A. English has been appointed the Executrix of the last will and testament of Aaron English deceased.
