SpringFest 2009

Sunday, April 19, 2009 - SPJST Lodge 88, 1435 Beall St. at 15th St. in the Houston Heights

Admission: $6/adult; children 10 and under FREE
Dinner: $7.50/adult; children 10 and under $5.50

  • Walachian Ensemble "Rodhost" from Trojanovice, Czech Republic, will perform traditional Czech songs throughout the day
  • Kovanda Czech Band, 11 am - 3 pm
  • Traditional Czech Sunday Dinner, 11 am - 2 pm
  • Texas Legacy Czech Band, 3-7 pm
  • Sandy Ptak, Miss Czech Slovak USA, and Christiana Gentry, the Harris County Queen, along with state queens from New Jersey and Nebraska, will participate and entertain, dressed in traditional kroje.
  • Chicken noodle soup or Sausage with sauerkraut served after 1 pm
  • Kolaches, pastries, canned goods, desserts and plants
  • Silent Auction with more than 150 items
  • Handcrafts, cultural booths

    Walachian Ensemble "Rodhost" from Trojanovice, Czech Republic, will entertain at our annual Czech SpringFest. The members are Bohumir Holub, Vlasta Holubova, Lenka Pustejovska, Jirina Mickova and Petr Adamec.
