Only $5 of your $15 annual dues are retained by the Harris County Chapter. The remaining $10 go to the CHS state organization. With the removal of the state portion of the Library, CHS state funds will no longer help support the Harris County CHS library, increasing our chapter expense budget by $4,000.

Dues - Renew now for 2010!

The membership year is January 1 to December 31 of each calendar year. Total general membership dues include chapter dues ($5) plus State dues at one of the membership levels shown below:

  • Regular - $10 (Chapter + State = $15)
  • Contributing - $25 (Chapter + State = $30)
  • Supporting - $50 (Chapter + State = $55)
  • Patron - $100 (Chapter + State = $105)


    • New members can fill out a membership application at the Library during Wednesday Library hours, or at any CHS-HCC function. Renewing members can send a check to the Library address (shown below). Please note on the check the name(s) for whom dues are being paid.

  • Receive quarterly issues of Poznamka and Cesky hlas
  • Interesting speakers and activities at Chapter membership meetings
  • Monthly Czech movies with English subtitles
  • Free Czech language classes at beginner and intermediate levels
  • If you move, contact the HCC-CHS so that your mailing address is current
  • Receive meeting notices by email: just call or email the HCC-CHS and provide your email address
  • Offer rides to members who may not drive
  • Participate in the Calling Committee
  • Volunteer your time at the Archives, for social/cultural events, or on committees.
