Mrs. Fannie Gilliam

Mrs. Fannie Gilliam, widow of J. T. Gilliam, and a long time resident of Hill County, passed away at 314 Duncan Street at 5 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, Oct.27th, aged 84 years.

Funeral services were held at the Osceola Methodist Church at 2:30 o’clock Wedneday afternoon conducted by Rev. J. W. W. Shuler of Hillsboro. Interment was in Covington cemetery under the direction of Marshall & Marshall.

Mrs. Gilliam was born in Kentucky but came to Texas in 1878, locating at Osceola and had made her home in Hill County practically ever since. She had been a member of the Methodist Church for more than half a century.

Surviving are three sons, Marvin of Midlothian, Douglas and Dee of the U S Navy, and one sister, Mrs. Babe Mellroy of Cleburne.

Mrs. Gilliam was an aunt of Will Galiga of this city and at one time made her home with him for a number of years.
