J. D. Ford, 62, died unexpectedly Tuesday at 10:20 p.m. in the Veterans Hospital in Dallas. 

Funeral rites will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Marshall and Marshall chapel

with Eugene Clapp, minister of the West Side Church of Christ, officiating. 

He was a farmer and a native of Georgetown. 

Other than his widow, he is survived by four sons, J. D. Ford, Jr., Hillsboro, Charles Ford, Oklahoma City, Jim Ford,

 Hillsboro, and Hollis D. Ford, Fort Worth; five grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Zora Jackson, Clifton; two brothers,

 J. W. Ford and J. E. Ford, both of Whitney.
