Mrs. Ida Elizabeth Brown
Mrs. Ida Elizabeth Brown, wife of F. C. Brown, passed away at the family residence, 3 miles south of Whitney, at 3:05 oclock Monday afternoon, January 24, aged 46 years, 5 months, and 8 days.
Funeral services will be held from the Whitney Methodist church at 2:30 oclock Wednesday afternoon conducted by Revs. Monnig and F. E. Weller of Whitney. Interment in Bethlehem cemetery under the direction of Marshall and Marshall.
Mrs. Brown was born in east Texas. she united with the Methodist church when a small girl and at the time of her death, held membership in the Whitney Methodist church. She was first married to Doc Hammer and he died in 1920 as the result of an Interurban accident. She was married to Mr. Brown June 6, 1923.
She is survived by her husband, two brothers, G. E. Guinn of Waco, and C. M. of Dallas; four sisters, Mrs. Mae Hulse of Dallas, Mrs. M. F. Bullock of Post City, Mrs. A. F. Hutchison and Mrs. R. C. White, both of Lamesa; two children, Clyde and Ida Jennette Brown both at home and three step-children, Ben Brown of Whitney, Mrs. Fay Curry of Penelope and Mrs. May Dell Clausell of Whitney.
