Derden Cemetery

Hill County, Texas

  Derden Cemetery is located west of Covington; take highway 67 to HCR 2488, north of HCR 1421 LP or east of Blum on highway 67 to HCR 2488, north to HCR 1421 LP. 
View Map.
  The Derden Cemetery Association held a dedication ceremony at 11: a.m. on Monday, May 26, 2003 to commemorate the historic designation of the cemetery.
  The Texas Historical Commission in Austin determined that the cemetery meets all requirements for designation as a Historic Texas Cemetery and approved it as such on July 10, 2001. The medallion is complemented by an interpretive plaque that provides a brief history of the cemetery.
