History of the Cemetery
The Latson Cemetery was established in Dec 1997 by the Latson Descendants for their Mother Faith (Hagood) Latson who was first person buried in the newest Henderson County Texas Cemetery. Faith Jessie (Hagood) Latson is the daughter of John Andrew Hagood and Martha McGhee, and she married Felix Henry Latson 19 Nov 1934 in Tulia, Swisher County Texas. Faith was born in Washita, Caddo Co., Oklahoma and died in Henderson Co., Texas.1920 Caddo Co.,Oklahoma Census ED 78 Township McKinley page 43A T625_1453 24 Jan 1920 Line # ? Directions To
From Courthouse in Athens take Highway 31 East, just past Loop, turn right at FM 317. Go 8.1 miles. Turn left on Horton Lane and go 1/10 mile. Cemetery is 1st drivway to right.
