| My name is Richard C. Sims,
Jr. My grandfather, Richard O. Sims was born at Brownsboro in 1887. In the 1920s I believe he and his family lived at Pine Hill on the east side of Brownsboro. My grandfather's sisters married into the Simmons, Day, Laymance, Gunstanson and Fryer families of the Brownsboro area. My great grandmother Sims was a Cleveland. My grandmother Sims was a Sowell from Cherokee Co., but her mother was a Gartman, who had brothers in Henderson Co. |
