W. A. Wofford
The above, a son of B. W. J. was born in Fincastle, December 7,
1858. He was raised in Henderson county, and has also been
engaged in mercantile pursuits. He moved to Athens in December
1885. He owns good property and is interested in the J. B.
Wofford business and is also stockholder and one of the Directors
of the First National Bank. He is a safe, conservative business
man. He married Miss Sallie Carpenter of Corsicana. He has had
two children, only one of whom is living.
Mr. Wofford is active and industrious, and will no doubt be as
successful as was his father.
