Wright, 59, of Shallowater departed this life on Jan., 11, 2004, in Tracy,
Calif. He was born Sept. 18, 1944, to the late Virgil Lee Wright and Violet
Estelle Robertson in Ropesville and graduated from Ropesville High Sch
ool in 1964. Mr. Wright married Janice Earlene Clark on March 6, 1970, in
Loop.
They moved to Shallowater in 1990 from Lubbock and are members of the Twelfth St. Church of Christ. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Those left to mourn his passing include his wife, Earlene Wright of Shallowater; two sons, Lance Wright and wife Jennifer of Lubbock, and Landry Wright and wife Britani of Shallowater; one daughter, Christi Greenlee and husband Brannon of Lubbock; two brothers, Virgil Wright of Abilene and Stephen Wright of Ropesville; four sisters, Emagene Davis of Stephenville, Joice Davis of Lubbock, Erma Wright of Wolfforth, and Joan Smith of Levelland; five grandchildren, Caleb, Alyssa, Kenna, Johnathon and Tanner.
Services will be Sat urday, Jan. 17, at 10 a.m. at Twelfth St. Church of Christ in Shallowater with Mr. Kent Smith and Mr. Don Wood officiating. Graveside service will be Saturday, Jan. 17, at 3 p.m. at Loop Cemetery in Loop. Family will greet friends on Friday, Jan. 16, at White Funeral Home of Lubbock from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
