LEVELLAND (Special) Services for Hugh Strickland, 72, of Ropesville will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Geo. C. Price Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ken Horn officiating.

Burial will follow in City of Levelland Cemetery under the direction of Geo. C. Price Funeral Directors.

He died Sunday, Dec. 26, 1999, at Covenant Medical Center.

He was born May 28, 1927, in Cumby. He moved to Hockley County from Vernon in 1956. He married Dorothy Hoard on Dec. 17, 1949, in Vernon. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a ginner at Lockettville Gin.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Perry of Wolfforth; two daughters, Pattie Jo Maynard of Meadow and Beverly Wiley of Idalou; a brother, Charles of Wichita Falls; a sister, Bettie Tuggle of Cumby; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
