Ranch foreman, Jerry Thornburg, stands on the rock ledge that forms the head of
a rather deep ravine. This rock ledge covers an indentation, about 16 feet wide
and 12 feet deep, in the rock below.
It was in this indentation or cave where the Indians took cover. Note that this rock ledge has been scoured
clean by rnning water. Jerry relates that he has been at the site during a
heavy rainstorm and witnessed the flood of water and the cave filling with
frothy water."
