Cemetery - From the Sulphur Springs town square, take
Hwy 154 north to Birthright. At Birthright turn left on FM
road 71 to Peerless. This cemetery is hard to find, and it
would be best to ask someone in the Peerless community as
to its location. It lies in a pasture on the left side of
the road between Peerless and Emblem. |
Barker
Cemetery - located in the Greenview community. The cemetery
is located in a pasture, and one should stop in the community
and ask for directions. To get to Greenview community, take
Hwy 19 south from Interstate Hwy. 30, turn right on FM road
1567 which runs through the Greenview community going to Miller
Grove. |

Black
Oak Cemetery (Black) - From I-30 turn south on 154, at
first red light, turn left on hwy 11, turn right on FM road
69. You will pass the Galilee cemetery on your right, keep
going till you come to the Black Oak Church on your right.
Both black and white cemeteries will be on the church grounds.
White cemetery is first, and the black cemetery joins it on
the south. |

Bone Cemetery
- Located on FM 1567 near Miller Grove. From Sulphur Springs
take Hwy. 19 south to FM 1567, it is approximately 7 miles
down on the left, between CR 1142 (on right) and CR 1149 (on
left). Cemetery is in the back of the pasture on the current
Culbertson land. Ask anyone in Miller Grove for directions.

- Take Hwy 19 to Birthright, turn left on 4760, turn right
on 1769, cemetery will be on your left, next to barn. |
Clifton
Cemetery - Just over the Hopkins County line into Rains
County. It contains the remains of many Hopkins County
residents. |
Combs Cemetery
- From I 30, turn right on Hwy 19, turn right on FM Road 1567
to Miller Grove. The cemetery is located in a pasture, on
land known as the Truman Renshaw place. Best to ask someone
in Miller Grove how to get to it. |
Como Cemetery
- located on Hwy 11 going southeast from Sulphur Springs in

Connor
Cemetery - From the downtown Sulphur Springs Square, take
Hwy 19 north, turn right on FM Road 1537, turn left on FM
road 69. After going through Dike community, watch for Connor
cemetery sign that will be on your left, turn right to cemetery.

Deaton
Cemetery - From I 30, go south on Hwy 19, turn right on
FM road 1146. To get to this cemetery one has to go through
one pasture and through a gate into another pasture. People
in that area knows where it is. Stop and get help. The cemetery
was well kept, with many graves mound with dirt but no stones.
Has a fence around it. This cemetery is very near, if not
in, Rains county. |
East
Caney Cemetery - Located just off I 30 about half between
Sulphur Springs and Weaver exit. From I 30, turn south on
FM Road 2341, turn left on 3338, right on 3345. The old section
will be on the left and the new section on the right of the
road. |

Cemetery - From I 30 turn south on Hwy 154, at light turn
left on Hwy 11, you will pass Como, turn right on FM road
69, turn left on County Road 2426, you will pass, on your

right turn, and the cemetery will be in a pasture on your
right along a dividing pasture fence. If you come to FM road
2423 on your right, which has cut back into 2426, you have
gone too far. You may not be able to see this cemetery from
the road. |

Cemetery - From I 30, take Hwy 154 south, at light turn
left on Hwy 11, turn right on 1567, a little ways down this
road the cemetery will be on your right, just off the road.

Cemetery - From Cumby,Texas, take FM Road 275 north, take
first right hand turn, cemetery will be found on the right
hand side of road, can be seen from road. Has tall fence around
it. |
Graham
Cemetery - Cemetery located north of Sulphur Springs,
in the Old Tarrant community. Take Hwy 19 to Old Tarrant.
There will be a State Historical Marker on the left hand side
of road. Park car there and enter pasture there. Go straight
back to next fence, and the one stone will be in the joiningpasture,
if it is still there. |

will be on the right behind a house. A private road leads

the FM Road 369 , in a pasture. One would have to stop in
the area and ask for directions. |

Cemetery - From Sulphur Springs, take Hwy 19, North, to
Birthright, take FM Road 71 to Peerless. Go through Peerless,
take second left hand turn. The cemetery will be way back
in a pasture, in a grove of trees. Said to be on Old Lindley
land. One should stop in Peerless and get help. |
Harmony
Cemetery - At Sulphur Springs, on I 30, turn south on
Hwy 154, at red light turn left on Hwy 11, after passing Pickton,
turn left on County Road 401. Cemetery will be on your left |
Hurley
Cemetery - From Sulphur Springs, at I 30, take Hwy 154,
south, turn left on FM Road1567, towards Rielly Springs. Turn
left on 2436 - the cemetery will be on your right, a little
ways up this road. One might have to stop and ask about it. |
Irons
Cemetery - Take Hwy 19 north to Birthright, turn left
on FM Road 4760 toward Beckham community. This cemetery is
on the right hand side of road, located between the first
and second right hand turns, after turning left on FM 4760.
It is located due east of the Clapp cemetery, in a pasture.
Very hard to locate, only two graves, chain link fence around
them. |
Ishmael
Cemetery - From I 30, go south on Hwy 19, turn left on
County Road 1165. A yellow house will be on your right, and
the cemetery will be on your left. There is a fence running
down the middle of the cemetery. Part of the cemetery is on
land owned by Brody Koon. NO STONES WITH NAMES OR DATES. |

Cemetery - From Sulphur Springs, go west on the north
service road along I 30. After you pass the Brashear exit,
still stay on the service road. Look for a large two story
home on your right, setting back in a pasture. Windows are
all missing. Can see it real well. Looking at the house,
the cemetery would be on your right in the joining pasture,
in a grove of trees. |
Johnson
Chapel Cemetery - Cemetery located south of Sulphur Springs,
on the old Lanier farm. If one stops at the Interstate
Body Shop, located on the north service road, along Interstate
30, they can point one in the right direction. It's behind
this shop in a pasture. |
Liberty
Cemetery - From I 30 turn south on Hwy 19, turn left on
FM 1567. Cemetery will be on your left. |
Lindley
Cemetery - Take Hwy19 north from Sulphur Springs. Turn
left on FM 71, turn right on County Road 4775. After passing
oil derrick on left, which has a road going to it, take
the next left hand turn through pasture; at barn there is
a gate. After going through gate, go to the right and one
will soon see cemetery. |
Long Cemetery
- I 30, at Cumby, turn south (right) on County Road 4131,
turn left on County Road 4120, turn right on County Road 1126,
cemetery will be on the left. |

Family Cemetery - From I 30 turn south on Hwy 154, at
light turn left on Hwy 11. You will go through the communities
of Como and Pickton. Turn right on County Road 2401. Cemetery
will be on your right. Has a fence around it. |
Mahoney
Cemetery - from Sulphur Springs drive seven miles East
on I 30 to exit 131 (Farm Road 69). Turn North and go three
miles on Farm Road 69 to County Road 1635. Turn East and drive
aprox. 3/10 mile. The church building and the cemetery are
on the North side of the road. |
Martin
Springs Cemetery - From I 30, you turn south on Hwy 154,
turn left on Hwy 11 to Martin Springs, and cemetery will be
on your left. Can be seen from the road. |
McFall
Cemetery - From the Sulphur Springs square, go north on
Hwy 19 to Birthright, turn right on FM road 71 to Nelta. The
cemetery is located on the east side of Nelta, on the left
side of the road, in a pasture. Stop and ask. Can not be seen
from the road. |
Melton
Cemetery - From I 30 turn south on Hwy 154. This cemetery
lies on the left side of the Hwy, several yards back from
the Hwy, next to brick home. It has a chain link fence around
it. If you reach the Rest Lawn Memorial cemetery on the right
of the Hwy, you have missed the small Melton cemetery. |
Miller
Grove Cemetery - From I 30, take Hwy 19, south. Turn right
on FM 1567. Turn right on 275, cemetery will be on your left,
in Miller Grove. Coming from Dallas on I 30, one can turn
south (right) on 275. One will need to be on the south service
road, at Cumby |
Mitchell
Creek Cemetery - located south of Sulphur Bluff, on banks
of Mitchell Creek. There is no easy way to tell how
to get to you. It lies sourth of the Westerman cemetery, which
is located near the Gas Refinery, not a working refinery now. |
Montgomery
Cemetery - From I 30 turn right on Hwy 19, turn right
on FM Road 1567 to Miller Grove, turn left on FM Road 275,
turn right on County Road 1138, turn right on County Road
1139. The cemetery is near a house on the left hand side of
road. Ask about the cemetery at this house. Cemetery is on
land known as the Juanita Corbet land. |
Morgan
Cemetery - From Sulphur Springs Square, go north on Hwy
154, turn right on FM Road 1536, turn left on County Road
3612. Stop at house on right and ask about cemetery. |

Sterling Cemetery - From Sulphur Springs go North on highway
154 aprox. four miles. Turn right on Farm Road 1537. Go aprox.
four miles to North Liberty church, turn North on County Road
3511, then to chapel on East side of road - approx. 1/8 mile.
The old part of the cemetery is on the North side of chapel
- new part is on the South. |

Cemetery - From Sulphur Springs, Hopkins County, Texas,
take Texas Hwy. 11 West for about 15 miles cemetery will be
on South side of highway. From Commerce, Hunt County, Texas,
take Texas Hwy. 11 East for about five miles cemetery is on
South side of highway. From I-30, Cumby, Hopkins County, Texas,
take Hwy. 275 North for six miles to Texas Hwy. 11 and go
East about one mile and cemetery is on South side of highway. |

Springs. From the Sulphur Springs town square go north
on Hwy 19. Right after you pass FM road 1537, on your right,
slow down, the next right turn is road leading to cemetery.
It is easy pass this road before you see it. The cemetery
sign is on the left side of the road, just across from where
you turn. |

in the Peerless community. Coming into Hopkins County from
the west, on I 30, turn left on FM Rd 2653. Rd 2653 runs into
71stay right on 71. Turn left on 4755 to Peerless. Cemetery

Cemetery - Located between the 131 and 130 mile marker
on I-30 in Hopkins Co. It is between the interstate and the
access road. This tiny cemetery is called "Spence
Cemetery" by local people though there is no sign at
the cemetery. |
Stephens
Cemetery - located in south part of Hopkins County. From
I 30, turn south on FM Road 2297, turn left on County Road
1176. This road dead ends. Talk to the people in the red brick
house on how to get to the cemetery, across their pasture. |
Stewart
Cemetery - located in the west central part of Hopkins
county. Take Hwy 11 west from Sulphur Springs to Ridgeway.
At Ridgeway, turn right on Farm Road 2653, turn left on County
Road 738, turn right on County Road 741. The cemetery will
be a little ways down this road on your right and cannot be
seen from the road. If you go to another right hand turn,
you have gone too far. |
St
Luke Cemetery (African American) - From I 30, take Hwy
19 north, which will be loop around Sulphur Springs. Turn
left on FM Road 2285. After passing behind the dam, turn right
on 4762. The cemetery will be on your left, behind St. Luke’s
church. The cemetery is well kept and has a nice fence around
it. |
Stouts
Creek Cemetery - located in the eastern part of Hopkins
County. From I-30, you go north on FM Road 900 to Saltillo,
turn left on Hwy 67. Stouts Creek direction marker will be
on your left. Cannot see cemetery from the highway. |
Sulphur
Bluff Cemetery - From the downtown Sulphur Springs public
square take Hwy 19N approx 10 miles to Birthright. At Birthright
turn right on FM 71. Follow FM 71 abt 12 miles to Sulphur
Bluff. The cemetery is on the left side of FM 71 at the eastern
edge of downtown Sulphur Bluff. |

after passing Sulphur Bluff, turn right on County Road 3545.
Some ways down this road, on the left, you find a gas refinery,
no longer in use. The cemetery is in front of this refinery. |

in to Sulphur Springs on I-30 take Hwy 154 south, at red light,
turn left on Hwy 11. After passing Cumby, turn left on County
Road 2333, on this road, the cemetery will be on your left. |
