Johnson Cemetery
By June England Tuck and Deborah Tuck Young
Cemetery is located between Cumby and Sulphur Springs. From Sulphur
Springs, go west on the north service road along I 30. After you
pass the
Brashear exit, still stay on the service road. Look for a large
two story home on your right, setting back in a pasture. Windows
are all missing. Can see it real well. This is the home William
Johnson was building when he died. Looking at the house, the cemetery
would be on your right in the
joining pasture, in a grove of trees. I really doubt if any thing
is there now. Cemetery was indexed in the 1970's Picture was made
of his stone in the cemetery. Several unmarked and lost graves in
this cemetery. Very bad condition.
Johnson, William -b. 22 Dec. 1819, d. 18 Feb. 1876 (His stone is
now missing. He built the two story home you can see west of the
cemetery.)

wife of William Johnson, b. Abt. 1834, in Tenn. )
