(Obituary - Mrs. Florence Pickett, the wife of Joe Pickett, died at her home near Shirley,
Sept. 20, 1916 (Sic.) She was 34 years of age. She leaves a husband, and one little girl 
and boy, two brothers, three sisters, and a dear mother.  She and her infant babe were 
laid to rest in Liberty cemetery, conducted by Rev. Paul Ray. (S.S. Gazette, Sept. 29, 1916)
