CROCKETT PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL in 1906

This was later called Crockett Public School, later Crockett Grammar School.  (the first school building was called Crockett Academy and was close to the street.  After Crockett's corporation was revised in 1890 the Crockett Academy building was torn down and the Crockett Grammar School building was erected further back from E. Goliad Ave.)  The building was remodeled in abt. the late 1920's or early 1930's and a second floor was added to make it a 3 story building with basement floor.  It was torn down in 1974.
