WOLFE CITY - Betty Jane Warden, 90, of Wolfe City passed away Aug. 13, 2010, at the Hunt Regional Medical Center of Greenville.

Mrs. Warden was born May 24, 1925, in Rising Star to Garland and Ruth Irene Clark Branton. She married Chief Ashley Warden on May 24, 1944, in Cisco.

Mrs. Warden was a homemaker and worked as youth coordinator for the North Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church and worked beside her husband who ministered at United Methodist churches in the North Texas area.

Survivors are a daughter, Beth Caywood and husband Stan of Wolfe City; one son, Gary Warden of Irving; two granddaughters, Courtney Caywood Allen and husband Blake of Wolfe City and Heather Caywood Hamilton and husband James of Greenville; great-grandchildren Caylie Hamilton, James Ray "Trey" Hamilton, Caigen Allen and Brinlee Allen and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents and two brothers, Donald Branton and Glen Branton, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church in Wolfe City with Rev. Wallace Chappell and Rev. Larry Ravert officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City.

Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday evening at the R.W. Owens and Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City.
