| Celeste Pair Win Women's Tennis League
The Women's Tennis League has finally come to a halt with the undefeated team of Paula Lanier and Kristi Babers of Celeste, the second round winners, as well as the overall league champs. The teams of Terri Lake and Nancy White and Peggy Tanner and Tammy Fuller tied for second place while Debra Griffin and Marsha Lierman and Paula Card came in last by losing every match in both rounds. Card took over during the last two matches because Lierman moved and Sarah Swindell was a substitute for Babers during one match.
Second round scores: Lanier and Swindell over Griffis and Lierman, 6 - 1, 6 - 3; Lanier and Babers over Tanner and Fuller, 6 - 3, 6 - 4; Lanier and Babers over Lake and White, 6 - 2, 6 - 1; Lake and White over Tanner and Fuller, 1 - 6, 6 - 3, 6 - 2; Lake and White over Griffin and Card; 6 - 0, 6 - 1; Tanner and Fuller over Griffin and Card, 6 - 1, 6 - 3.
