Charles Stone, 64, of Pittsburg, Tex., died Sunday, March 18, 2007 in his home. Services are pending with Rentfrow Funeral Home in Caddo Mills.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Lynch Funeral Home in Greenville.

He was born Aug. 11, 1942. He married Barbara Ellen Griffis, went to school in Wolfe City and coached in Commerce for 17 years.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ellen Stone of Pittsburg; his mother and stepfather, Gene and Frances Ketcham of Malakoff; and a daughter, Marie Stone of Denton.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Leon Stone of Whiterock, who died March 28, 1967.

Charles Dwain Stone

Pittsburg--Graveside services for Charles Dwain Stone, 64, Pittsburg, are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at International Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery, Caddo Mills, under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home, Pittsburg.

Mr. Stone died Sunday, March 18, 2007, at his residence.

He was born August 11, 1942, in Hunt County and lived in the White Rock community during his high school years. He was a Wolfe City High School graduate and received his Masters Degree from Texas A&M University in Commerce. He taught social studies and coached for thirty-three years. He taught in Celeste in 1967-1968, in Caddo Mills from 1972 to 1974. and in Commerce for seventeen years. He was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Leon Stone.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ellen Griffis Stone, Pittsburg; daughter, Marie Stone, Denton; mother and stepfather, Frances Ketcham and Gene Ketcham, Malakoff.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, at the funeral home in Pittsburg, and from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, at Lynch Funeral Home in Greenville.
