Keith Purkey of Shawnee, Oklahoma, was killed when his car ran into a creek on Tuesday, December 20, 1955. He was found by highway patrolmen and it was believed he lost control of his car causing it to crash. He was employed by a chain store concern and spent much time on the road.
Mr. Purkey was thirty-three years old and a graduate of Celeste High School, Class of 1940.
Funeral services and burial were in Shawnee on Thursday, December 22, 1955.
Survivors include his wife and three children of Shawnee; and his father, W. H. Purkey of Campbell. A sister, Mrs. Glen Compton, lives in Celeste.
