Ella Mae Lowry, 93, of Wolfe City died Saturday at Smith Nursing Center. Graveside services are at 2 p.m. today at Webb Hill Cemetery. with Rev. Rick Huggins officiating.
Miss Lowry was born Aug. 21, 1905, in the White Rock Community; the daughter of Claude Melvil and Emma DeFee Lowry Jr. She was a member of the White Rock United Methodist Church.
Surviving are sisters, Kathleen Hanson of Dallas, Alynee Tidwell of White Rock and Leta Welsh of Sacramento, Calif.; nieces, Nita Reisor of Greenville and Claudia Denn of Dallas; and nephews, Jerry Hanson of Mesquite, Ronnie Tidwell of Paris, Glen Lowry of League City, Robert Lowry of Southlake, J.C. Lowry of Sanger, Calif. and W.F. Lowry of Bells.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Willie Lowry, James Lowry Sr., Claude Lowry Jr., and Charlie Lowry; and a sister, Willie Brooks.
Visitation is from noon to 1:30 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home, which is in charge of the arrangements.
