W. T. Block Home

This home was built by W. T. Block, Sr. for his bride in 1899.  It is located in Port Neches, Texas behind the office of the Oak Bluff Cemetery.  This is part of the old Block Cemetery.  It is in the planning stages of being made into a museum.  Taken June 4, 1995.

Elaine Hubbard Stone, great-great-great-granddaughter of George Frederick Block who came to America from Prussia.  Taken June 4, 1995.

 

The Blocks didn't want anyone else buried in Block Cemetery.  They built this gazebo as a memorial.  Taken June 4, 1995 during construction.

 

Completed gazebo.
