Jason Galassi, 24, of Nederland died at his residence in Port Neches on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 .

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 21, 2006 in the Charles S. Kelley Memorial Chapel at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home with Reverend Kevin Otto of Wesley United Methodist Church of Nederland officiating. Burial will follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery.

His family will receive guests from 5-9:00 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2006 at the funeral home.

Jason was born October 27, 1981 in Huntsville, Texas to Frank and Ann (Spell) Galassi. He is a Nederland High School year of 2000 graduate who was active in basketball and football and is a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Jason worked as a construction worker in the Southeast Texas area. He was always full of life and really enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Preceded in death by his grandfathers, Perry Galassi and Dwight Spell, Jason is survived by his parents, Frank and Ann Galassi of Nederland; grandmothers, Bettie Galassi of Beaumont and Flossie Spell of Sweeney; daughter, Brooklyn Shae Galassi and her mother, Jessica Broussard, both of Nederland; sister, Jinni Galassi of Huntsville and brother, Todd Galassi also of Nederland.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bret Kuehmstedt, Sid Jennusa, Jarrod Crawford, Jason Graham, Trey Jackson, John Bryan, Perry Whitaker and Scott Gibson.

Gothia, Elton "Goat" Jr. Elton "Goat" Gothia, Jr., 74, of Port Arthur, Texas died Sunday, December l7, 2006 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas.

Elton was born on August 12, 1932 in Port Arthur, Texas to Elton Joseph Gothia, Sr. and Blanche Landry Gothia. He was a lifelong Port Arthur resident and graduated from Bishop Byrne High School. He was an avid and well known baseball player in this area. He retired as an operator from Texaco after 44 years of service. He was a member of the Local AFLCIO.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Reverend D. Stephen McCrate officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park
under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Visitation was held on Monday, December l8, 2006 from 4:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. with a Rosary Service at 6:00p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Irene Perrone Gothia of Port Arthur,TX; daughters, Lu Anne Gothia of San Antonio, TX, Vickie Lewis of Port Arthur, Tx, Barbara Gothia Umphrey and husband, Tom of Port Arthur, TX; son, Nicky Louis Gothia of Crosby, TX; sister, Sr. Blanche Gothia,O.P. of Houston, TX; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rudy and Mary Ann Trahan; grandchildren, Angela Gothia, Keeli Gothia, Krista Umphrey, Bo Joseph Umphrey and John Steven Lewis,II; great-granddaughter, Avery Lozano; nephews, Dr. Leonard Trahan, Michael Trahan and Tony Trahan.

Pallbearers will be Rudy Trahan, Bo Umphrey, Dr. Leonard Trahan, Hunter Crorey, Michael Trahan and Tony Trahan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jacky Merchant, Len Trahan, Cody Joe Trahan, John Steven Lewis, II, and Dalton Trahan.
Gregorcyk, Mary Jane Mary Jane Gregorcyk of Beaumont, died July 2, 2006 surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born on March 23, 1948, and was raised in Lufkin, Texas. Then settled in Bishop, Texas, with her husband where they raised their family. She and her husband then retired to Beaumont, Texas in 1998. Mary was a homemaker and a loving and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her husband of thirty-seven years, Scotty Gregorcyk of Beaumont; daughters, Stacie Gregorcyk of Houston and Susan Deloney and her husband Jamey of Port Neches; granddaughter, Yelena Deloney of Port Neches; father Burnice Scarborough of Lufkin; sister Beverly Selman and her husband Mike of Lufkin. Mary was preceded in death by her mother Floris Scarborough of Lufkin. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 5, 2006, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 3810 North Major Drive, Beaumont with burial to follow at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. Gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday evening July 4, 2006, from 5:00 P.M until 7:00 P.M.at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive in Beaumont. Gros, Andrew Anthony "Andy" Andrew “Andy” Anthony Gros, 78, of Port Neches, Texas died Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur, Texas.

Andy was born May 27, 1928 in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana to Philip Gros and Inez Dhuet Gros. He was a resident of this area for sixty-two years and was a retired Superintendent for Allco Construction Company with thirty years of service. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, December 16, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches with Rev. Bennie Patillo officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 15, 2006 with a Vigil Service to begin at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Davis Gros and Clarence Gros, sisters, Pearl Hebert; Mildred Rouen, Velma Mire, and Bonnie Pennington.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Gros of Port Neches, Texas; daughter, Diane Fisher and husband, John of Port Neches, Texas; son, Geary Gros and wife, Donna of Saratoga, Texas; sisters, Claire Babin and husband, Andrew of Schriever, Louisiana; Lena Babin and husband, Peter of Schriever, Louisiana; Joy Benoit and husband, Gabe of Thibodaux, Louisiana; mother-in-law, Agnes Forey of Port Neches, Texas; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
