| West, Suzette Hemmenway | Suzette Hemmenway West, 39, of Labelle, passed away, Sunday July 10, 2005 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont. Funeral services will be 9:00 AM Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at Broussard's in Nederland with Rev. Dennis Knight officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday evening at the mortuary. A native of Nederland Suzette lived all of her life in Labelle. She was a graduate of Hampshire-Fannett High School and Lamar University. She was employed at the Tower Medical Center in Nederland as an X-Ray Technician. Suzette is survived by her husband, John West of Labelle. Her children, Cody and Nikki West of Labelle; Parents Carl and Maybelle Hemmenway of Labelle; uncle, Jack Hemmenway and wife Marie of Port Arthur; aunt Patsy King and husband Almon of Port Neches; also a host of cousins and friends. |

| Worrell, W. A. "Bill" | Mr. W.A. "Bill" Worrell, 89 of Port Arthur died Saturday, July 1, 2006 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. Mr. Worrell was born August 13, 1916 to John and Lillie Corrish Worrell in Choctaw County, Mississippi. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Port Arthur, a 58 year member of Madison Masonic Lodge #126 in Orange and a retired carpenter, and former owner of Quality Building, Termite and Pest Control in Port Arthur. Funeral service will be at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at Levingston Funeral `Home in Port Neches. with Rev. Don Falke officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy, and a son, Larry. | Worthy, Vivian Opal Toler | Vivian Opal Toler Worthy, 93, of Port Arthur, Texas died Friday,
December 15, 2006 at Magnolia Manor in Groves, Texas. Vivian was born January 2, 1913 in Liberty, Amite County, Mississippi to Tilman Curtis Toler and Maude Leona Drummond Toler. She was a resident of Port Arthur for eighty-five years and a member of Central Baptist Church in Port Arthur where she was a nursery worker for many years. She graduated from Port Arthur High School in 1929 and Port Arthur Business School (Port Arthur College). She retired from Texas Employment Commission in 1977 as Claims Investigator with 35 years of service. Her interests included knitting, reading, ceramics, learning Spanish, and genealogy. He life lessons were to live by the golden rule, speak nicely of others. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, December 17, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches, Texas with Deacon Vernon Drummond officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2006 at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Worthy, Sr., parents, Tilman Curtis and Maude Leona Toler, and grandson, Robert Michael Worthy. She is survived by her children, Richard Worthy and wife, Charlotte of Port Neches; Patricia Armstrong and husband, Melton George of Katy; Robert Worthy and wife, Sue of Port Arthur; Ronald Worthy and wife, Linda of Sugar Land; grandchildren, George and Linda Armstrong, Richard and Brenda Armstrong, Rhett and LeQuyen Worthy, Robert and Michelle Pottorf, John Robert Armstrong, James and Cene Worthy, Graham and Angel King, Patrick and Mary Margaret Armstrong, Ripley Worthy, Richard and Annie Worthy, and Robert Michael Worthy, great-grandchildren, Ana and Kennon Armstrong, Zachary Pottorf, Ryne Pottorf, Tobi Burgan, Reilly Armstrong, Reece Worthy, Morgyn Pottorf, Piper Armstrong, Madeline Armstrong, Madison Worthy, Joey Armstrong, Katelynn Armstrong. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. |
